Magnificent boutique hotel in Bo-Kaap, Cape Town
Staying at the Amina Boutique Hotel felt like my home away from home on my visit to Cape Town. The hotel is within walking distance of Cape Town’s city centre. Surprisingly the atmosphere at the hotel is relaxing and tranquil despite being so close to town.
Welcoming guests is a lovely front garden and pool area, and you can not help but fall in love with this beautiful boutique hotel as you walk up the steps to the front door while noticing the calming powder-blue walls and mosaic fountain.
The hotel opened its doors in 2022. And although Amina Boutique Hotel is new, it fits seamlessly into the surrounding neighbourhood as the owners lovingly kept the building’s structure in place when they converted it from a beautiful Bo-Kaap home to the magnificent boutique hotel it is today.

The room I stayed in was beautiful, and I loved everything about it! I also enjoyed a dedicated workspace in my room, as it was a mid-week stay, and I needed to complete some work.
Unique and memorable furniture
On my visit, I was able to peek into some of the unoccupied rooms and noticed how all the rooms are beautifully designed and unique in colour, style and decor. Amina Boutique Hotel playfully mimicked the rooms’ colours to the homes in the surrounding neighbourhood. Every piece of furniture seemed carefully curated for each room, making this hotel unique and memorable.
The staff was friendly, welcoming and helpful and ensured I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. And in the mornings, I enjoyed a lovely breakfast (served with the MOST delicious, homemade banana bread I’ve ever tasted!).
I travelled by car and could park my car for free in the street right in front of the hotel, which was perfect for carrying my luggage to my room.
In summary, Amina Boutique Hotel is perfect for you if you’re looking for beautiful, unique, memorable accommodation close to Cape Town’s city centre.
