The villa’s official name is “Pentagon Villa Cape Town“, but I will forever remember this house as “The Floating Villa“. Even though the house’s towering structures are firmly on the ground, once you find yourself in the breathtaking 6-metre double-volume living room, it feels like you are on a platform floating in mid-air. The ocean views from the living room feel surreal as there are no visible mountains, houses, or cars. Not even the beach. You only see the private pool deck, the sea and the sky. It truly feels like the house is hovering over the Atlantic Ocean.
The other side of the living room blends into the luscious backyard garden, merging effortlessly with the mountain. You also have private, direct access to the Lion’s Head hiking trials. If the uninterrupted views of the ocean from the expansive pool deck didn’t calm your soul, then sitting in this backyard garden listening to the birds and relaxing water features will surely do the trick.
Opening the oversized sliding doors on either side of the living room impressively and seamlessly combines mountain- and seaside living in a blend of a flawless indoor design, style, and nature’s natural beauty.

There are three other queen-sized bedrooms with gorgeous en-suite facilities, a big shared ocean-view balcony, and a shared living room area.
All the rooms are beautifully decorated to the highest level of style and offer guests the utmost comfort and luxury.
The house also has an impressive cinema room for a quiet night in with enough seating for 8 – 10 people. The Picture and sound quality is simply fantastic. The comfortable oversized couches are perfect for lazying around while watching movies or any other excuse you can find to spend time in this luxurious cinema room.
And for those wishing to keep up with their fitness regime, you can work up a sweat in the gym room.
The house has a few floors, and a glass lift helps you travel between them (or you can use the stairs if you are keen on keeping those muscles toned).
